Should we able to use the iPad, that would be additional usage for the iPad, since it's already a multi-purposed screen. That will replace any IKAN, Manhattan, etc and those HDMI monitor out there in the very near future.
I welcome any readers here to give their point of view, or if they have tested their iPad with this usage.
Thanks.

like its not giving realtime response, i mean when panning like shots its jitters and little bit stutters in the EOS monito. and its not a better way to record video with EOS utility . . .

Been trying to get it to run on my netbook...haven't had much luck because of the screen resolution but that is another issue.
There are some people who have been running eos utility and then a VNC program on their ipad/ ipod / iphone and having a wireless monitor...have not yet tried this but I imagine the lag will be even worse....

I wonder if there is a cable that could adapt between HDMI out of the camera and the docking port on the iPad?

OK Andrew, you just posed a challenge, I'm going to investigate that on my 5D2 and iPad. The iPad can obviously play video, so we need to just send it the signal and somehow find an external way to juice it. Hmmmm, got me thinking...
Also, I came across this monitor, and even with all the accessories it's still reasonable. Has anyone used this before?
