So here's my main question.
I usually convert to Cineform 422, but Cineform usually does a Luma correction from the raw .mov files. Now that we have this picture style, I don't WANT the Luma correction to be done by Cineform, as it pulls the image where I don't need it any longer.

Is there a way to turn OFF this particular feature while maintaining the 422 elements? Or should I just bite the bullet and work off of the default .mov files off my camera now?

Thanks and awesome examples overall!

No no, what I'm saying is this.
Cinestyle alone unto itself already gives about 1-2 stops of dynamic range to the image.
Converting the Canon images to Cineform does something similar with their Luma correction formula. Whether it's with Cinestyle or not.

What I'm asking is this:
Do you think it's best to stick to the default Cinestyle raw files while using to edit?
Or convert the Cinestyle'd images to Cineform and have to deal with twice the amount of range being overexposed on the new image?

My main concern is having the 422 color space at that point. Cinestyle already gives me the DR that I want, so that's the part of Cineform that I no longer need. I only want the 422 upgrade it boasts instead.

Kahl. No need to convert those files to cineform again. because Cineslyly build great DR and after applied the supplied LUT, color correction is easy. no any artifacts like Supper flat or other styles . . .

Yeah, I believe you're correct.
At most, I may convert them to MPEG2 422 to get some better color data for grading. But it's not nearly as imperative as before thanks to this new picture profile.
