We just finished this thirty second spec ad for the Metropolitan Museum in New York City. Most of it was shot completely guerrilla, so I stuck to wide angle lenses (Nikkor AI/AI-S 28mm and 35mm). It definitely wasn't easy trying not to attract attention from the security detail moving about. But, we got some great shots out of it all.

We're releasing a DIY-guide on how we built our elevator set

Hello everybody!

We released our film (Love Between Storeys) for a week on Valentine's. Along with the film we're uploading a 12-part series covering how we designed, built and lit our elevator set. You can start checking out the guide here.

We wrote this guide for newbies and amateurs on the DIY filmmaking scene as an attempt to give something back to the community.

Love Between Storeys is a half hour romantic comedy about a boy and a girl who get stuck in an office lift. We produced it with 2200 €, and it was shot with a Canon 550D/T2i for six days in Helsinki, Finland and one day in London.

Here's the first updates:

Comments, questions and suggestions are more than welcome on our website or in this thread. I'll be visiting here when we have a new update to post.

You can watch the full movie here (until Tue 21st, 5 PM GMT).

Need your help with my 5D Mk2

I'm thinking about doing a trade of my 5D Mk2 for a 1D mk3. ( I have someone who is very interested in doing an even trade with me )

ehhhhh always wanted to have a 1D series. My brother owns one, loves it and says its the best for him and he wouldn't trade it for the world.
I've shot with his 1D before. It's FAST!!! A bit bulky for me, I like the idea that I can just un-grip my battery grip and my 5D is lighter, but its not a deal breaker. I can live with that body. I kind of want one just because I want one.

No other reason really. The 5D is beyond satisfactory for me in all of my photographical needs and having video occasionally is cool but not really essential.

I need people to give me some PROS and some CONS as to why I SHOULD and why I SHOULD NOT do this trade. Your advice is welcome and will help me make up my mind.

Person wants to do the trade today, but I'm not in the worlds biggest hurry except for maybe some impulsiveness in me about having a 1D.

PS. I'm new to the site btw.
